Blambangan Foodpackers in the Indonesian Fisheries National Program

TRANSINDONESIA.CO – The fisheries sector is currently excellent and has great potential in the world food sector, especially Indonesia. With a sea area of ​​3.25 million km2 of which 2.55 million km2 is the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) region where the potential of newly exploited capture fisheries is 9.4 million tons from 65 million tons per year of total potential including aquaculture. It’s a great potential that it feels a pity to not be utilized to the maximum.

Great expectations as well as challenges ahead in the Fisheries Sector, make PT. Blambangan Foodpackers Indonesia (BFPI) was called to participate in the success of the “National Red and White Fish Retail Partnership Program” Koperasi Kelautan & Perikanan Indonesia (KKPI) with PT. Pasar Ikan Indonesis (PII) and PT. Ritel Ikan Indonesia (RII). The role of BFPI is expected to be part of the “agent of development” is a challenge in realizing the expectations of the government through the national program in the fisheries sector.

“National Partnership Program for Red and White Fish Retails” encourages BFPI to engage in the business cooperation arena “Trade Commodities in Fisheries Commodities” with PT. Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) (“PT. PPI (Persero)”) which was realized to coincide with the 6th National Fish Day on 21st November 2019.

BFPI, is a business group that has entered the fishing industry industry since 1972 with several brands that are already familiar in the market, such as CIP, Kyku, Bandung and other brands. Making the synergy of Indonesian Fish Partners more solid and having the ability to support the “National Red White Retail Partnership Program” with PT. PII and PT RII, which from the beginning until now have been present through Community Networks in 3 Provinces, including: Banten, DKI Jakarta and West Java.

Where the development and distribution of community networks is divided into:
“Red and White Fish Partners” community, for retail / plasma marketing and distribution networks.

Community “Indonesian Fish Partners: For commercial and wholesale marketing and distribution networks.
With the cooperation of BFPI together with PT. The PPI (Persero) can provide mutual value and synergy with the “Commodity of Fisheries Commodities” based on the potential of Indonesian marine products and also community and MSME empowerment.

Specifically for community and MSME empowerment, PT. PII and PT. RII have implemented it through a retail sales and distribution platform with a partnership format through 2 channels, namely:
1. Marketing Channel, called the KPD Plasma Partner (Sales and Distribution Kiosk)
2. Procurement / Supply Lane, known as KPS Plasma Partner (Collection and Supply Kiosk).
Both of the above pathways are based on community empowerment, taking into account demographic conditions and regional / regional excellence in fisheries commodities.

For KPD Plasma, the focus is on regions / regions that have relatively adequate population density and community income. So that it can become a marketing and sales foundation for retail fisheries commodities. The concentration of the implementation of the KPD Plasma path is along the island of Java.

Whereas KPS Plasma itself focuses more on areas / regions that have high potential and abundant marine products. So that it can become a foundation in the procurement / collection and supply for fisheries commodities. Concentration on the implementation of KPS Plasma lines is in the waters of Maluku, Papua, NTT and NTB.

BFPI’s hard work and efforts with PT PII and PT RII in its operations paid off with the award from the Indonesian World Record Museum through the achievement of PT. PII and PT .RII as Logistics and Sales Company with “Most Procurement and Market Diversity”. Right on the 6th National Fish Day on November 21, 2019. The Award Charter was handed over directly by Jusuf Ngadri from the Indonesian World Record Museum to Risti Yuni Lestari as the “Promotion and Investment Ambassador” of the National Red and White Fish Retail Partnership Program, as well as as Director of PT. PII and PT. RII.

All improvised efforts undertaken by both the Red and White Fish Partners and Indonesian Fish Partners have gone through measurable phases. The implementation will also be part of the role and movement of the wheels of the Indonesian economy through BFPI partners and plasma together with PT. RII and PT.
