Blambangan Foodpackers Present in Strengthening Indonesian Cooperatives and SMEs

TRANSINDONESIA.CO – With the growth and development of the Blambangan Foodpackers business, the Group has focused on looking down, as part of the Micro, Small and Medium Business.

This makes a point of reflection, that in the past Blambangan Foodpackers were like those who always needed guidance and assistance from large companies.
When the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemenkop and UKM) asked them to support the event, “Synergy Development of Economic Potential in the Tourism Area for Community Welfare” in Labuan Bajo, then it was considered a challenge for Blambangan Foodpackers who had repeatedly done similar things, namely community empowerment through its business group, PT. Ritel Ikan Indonesia and PT. Pasar Ikan Indonesia through the strengthening of Cooperatives and SMEs.

Blambangan Foodpackers also fully supports and initiates related parties for their participation in the strengthening of Cooperatives and SMEs in Labuan Bajo.

Through Vocational Training and Job Training on the production and utilization of Labuan Bajo marine products on Tuesday (3/12/2019), in the presence of Cooperatives and SMEs as requested by Kemenkop and UKM, Blambangan Foodpacker immediately sent production technicians from its factory in Banyuwangi, Abdul Haris and Siti Sundari.

The high reception and enthusiasm of the SMEs who were there was seen by the full attendance at the event. The vocational training materials such as production practices of Nugget, Meatballs and Abon are made from fish. The training program begins with a pre-test and ends with a post-test.

The event was awaited by all parties, especially the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, which became an arena for participation by various parties in supporting the strengthening of Cooperatives and SMEs in Labuan Bajo.

Opened by Deputy for Production, Victoria Br Simanungkalit who was present representing the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises at the same time read out the speech of the Minister who was unable to attend because he had to attend a Limited Cabinet Meeting with the President at the State Palace.
On this occasion, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) assistance was handed over by large companies concerned with the sustainability and development of cooperatives and MSMEs based on potential in their respective regions.

Considering that the potential of Labuan Bajo itself is primarily the abundance of its marine fisheries, the utilization of the potential of these marine products is to support home industries such as the production of quality fish nuggets as well as ready-to-eat nuggets. The CSR participation support includes:

1. 2 set of Nugget making machine presented by PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. handed over to the KSU Sampah Komodo and the KSU Mutiara Komodo.

2. 10 units Booth of Cooperative Business Group (including equipment ready for operation) presented by PT. Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) Together with PT. Blambangan Foodpackers Indonesia, submitted to the KSU Sampah Komodo and KSU Mutiara Komodo respectively.

During the event, all present could not hide their emotion and pride in the participation of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. Because all this time they (the Cooperatives and UMKM actors) have never been glimpsed even by one of the big companies.

Through the training event, they seemed to be made aware that they were made part of the togetherness and synergy of the process of “knowledge transfer” which is the basis of good and right management in every business undertaken by anyone so far.

The presence of large companies gives fresh air to Kemenkop and UKM that in the future it will be easier to build a synergy of Cooperatives and SMEs together with large companies.

With the presence of Blambangan Foodpackers, the dream of Cooperatives and SMEs to become the host and major economic actors in Indonesia will be realized and is in sight.*
