TRANSINDONESIA.CO – Somali citizen most widely inhabit the detention room at Immigration Detention House (Rudenim) in Belawan Medan, North Sumatra.
Head Rudenim Medan, Purbanus Sinaga, said today, Somalis proficiency level was recorded as many as 92 people.
Previous Somalis, according to him, only carrying as many as 62 people, and an increase of about 32 strangers is quite fast at Immigration Detention House Field.
“In every week, there are Somalis who are placed in immigration detention center field,” said Purbanus, yesterday.
He said, after a Somali citizens ever occupy the first rank immigration detention center field, and followed Myanmark Rohingya people (59 people).
Then, citizens of Sri Lanka (40), Afghans (26 people), Sudanese (22 people), Palestinians (17 people) and Bangladeshis (11 people).
“All foreigners are detained in immigration detention center field having legal problems, in violation of the Immigration Act, because it does not have dokomen passport,” he said.
Purbanus added, foreigners entering Indonesia illegally and does not have valid documents.
In fact, he explained, the Directorate General of Immigration also has notified the state perwaklilan in Jakarta to pick up its citizens in immigration detention center field.
“However, until now this has not been done, so it is feared the stranger that is immigration detention center field increasingly overcrowded and can not accommodate the prisoners,” said Purbanus.
Previous number of foreign nationals in immigration detention center field, there were 283 and now increased to 323 people.
