TRANSINDONESIA.CO – A total of 283 foreign nationals still being held in the immigration detention center (Rudenim) in Belawan Medan, Indonesia entered their territory without official documents such as passports.
Head Rudenim Medan, Purbanus Sinaga, said Friday that secured hundreds of foreigners in the legal institution comprised of various countries.
The foreigners from Somalia, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar Rohingyas, Palestine, Pakistan, Iran, South Africa, Sudan, Taiwan, and a number of countries sharing.
“The average foreigners who have problems such law, violating the Immigration Act, because it does not have a passport dokomen,” said Purbanus.
He said foreigners who lodged the legal issues, there are months and months are in Rudenim Medan, and also picked up perwaklilan their country (Embassy) in Jakarta Yanga.
Therefore, he said, the Director General of Immigration notify the foreigners detained in Rudenim field.
“Anyway in every month there are foreigners without passport documents Rudenim arrested in Medan, and they are typically outsourced Imigfrasi and police officers,” he said.
Purbanus added, most foreigners detained in Medan Rudenim adalahg Somalis, Rohingya Myanmar and Sri Lanka.
“The three countries, in the country is a crisis or turmoil, so they are many who fled and sought asylum in different countries,” said the first man in Rudenim field.
Previously, the number of foreign nationals in Medan Rudenim there were 269 people and has now grown to 283 people.
Data obtained in Rudenim field, the number of foreigners in July 2014, there were 283 people, some of them namely, the Afghans (26), Bangladesh (11), Palestine (17 people), Myanmark Rohingya (59 people), Somalia (62 people), and Sri Lanka (40 people).
Then, the citizens of Iran (17 persons), Sudan (22 people), Eritrya (2 people), South Africa (1), Pakistan (9 people), Taiwan (1 person) and Nepal (1 person).(ant/don)
