Defendant Case JIS Threatened 15 Years in Prison

TRANSINDONESIA.CO – Agun Iskandar, accused of sexual assault on pupil kindergarten Jakarta International School (JIS), threatened imprisonment of 15 years in prison.

“The act of the defendant Iskandar aka Agun Agun punishable as provided in Article 82 of Law No. 23 of 2002 on Child Protection junto Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code to-1 in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code,” said the public prosecutor, in a closed session Rahimah the case in the District Court (PN) in South Jakarta, Tuesday (26/08/2014).

The judges said persidangkan will continue next week with the agenda to hear the defense of the accused or the exception.

Meanwhile, sauté Rajagukguk defendant’s attorney asked the judge to allow the implementation of the trial to be held openly.

“Obviously we will file an exception,” he said.

Agun defendant is one of six JIS janitor who started trial. While five other defendants, Afriska, Zainal, Virgiawan, all, being untried. One other suspect, Anwar, was killed in the Jakarta Police toilet at the end of April 2014.

Meanwhile, Chief of the Criminal Section of the South Jakarta Prosecutor General Chandar said initial hearing is held closed JIS because this trial victims are children or in accordance with the Child Protection Act.

Cases of sexual harassment involved a kindergarten student JIS named AK in mid-March 2014.

In this case the police have also named two suspects namely JIS teachers NB Canadian nationality and FT Indonesian nationality.(ant/fer)
