TRANSINDONESIA.CO – A total of sixteen Somali citizen by Belawan Immigration officers have entered immigration detention center (Rudenim) in Belawan Medan, North Sumatra.

Head of Field Rudenim Purbanus Purba, said Friday the stranger entrusted to the legal institution holding room since Thursday (11/09/2014). All 16 Somalis, according to him, before Rudenim deposited in Medan, Belawan was roaming in the area.

“Later, the Immigration officer secured and submitted to Rudenim Belawan Medan,” said Purbanus.

According to him, the stranger entered Indonesia does not have a passport and documents in violation of the provisions of the Immigration Act.

In fact, he explained, the Somalis had undergone inspection and detained for several days in Belawan Immigration Office.

In this week, quite a lot of foreign nationals detained in Rudenim field, namely five Rohingya people of Myanmar.

These five strangers were handed over to the Immigration officer Rudenim Polonia Medan, Friday (5/9).

“The five Myanmar citizens were briefly detained Polonia Immigration officers, because they do not have passports documents,” said Purbanus.

They were detained in Rudenim field, the number of foreigners in September 2014, there were 304 people, some of them namely, the Afghans (26), Bangladesh (11), Palestine (17 people), Myanmar Rohingya (64 people), Somalia (78 people), and Sri Lanka (40), Iranians (17 persons), Sudan (22 people), Eritrya (2 people), South Africa (1), Pakistan (9 people), Taiwan (1) and Nepal (1 person).(sur)
