TRANSINDONESIA.CO – file two murder suspects citizen of the United States, Sheila Ann Von Weise (64) will be transferred to prosecutors for trial.
“Now both of them are undergoing examination and completes the proof. Hopefully in a short time, the file has finished and immediately handed over to the prosecutor,” said Deputy Chief Denpasar Police, Assistant Commissioner of Nyoman Artana in Denpasar, on Wednesday (20/08/2014 ).
He explained that although the two suspects that Tommy Schaffer (21) and Heather Louis (19) was not cooperative in undergoing examination, but it will not affect the investigation.
“Recognition of a suspect in the investigation not be absolute but remains supported evidence. Claiming admitted or not, it does not matter,” he said.
Artana also confirmed that they will not be accompanied by a lawyer from the United States as demand for both.
“Foreign lawyers can not represent clients in Indonesia. He (lawyer) in Indonesia must first join as a worker and ask permission from the government. Could not alone in carrying out the practice,” he said.
As reported earlier, the two young people were reluctant to speak out to complete the examination because he wanted a lawyer from the United States.
Denpasar Police itself has appointed lawyer Haposan SIH to provide legal assistance to the two suspects.
Louis also known Heather is pregnant. But it does not stop the investigation process.
Heather and Tommy was arrested by police on Wednesday (13/08/2014) at a hotel in Kuta, Badung regency, after the bodies of Heather’s mother Sheila found inside a suitcase belonging to Tommy.
The police themselves have pocketed some evidence that leads to the two who have been finish off Sheila’s life in the form of CCTV footage, bloodstained suitcase and evidence gathered in the room Sheila stay at the St. Regis Hotel, Nusa Dua, a third stay in Bali. (ant/oki)
