TRANSINDONESIA.CO – women’s rights activists and observers of child protection Ida Ayu Made Gayatri, MSI was disappointed to the determination of the area of Child Protection legislation because there are many chapters in it that need to be refined.

“And in it there are articles that still need to be refined and to get input from various communities,” he said in Denpasar on Wednesday (23/07/2014).

According to him, the validation rules in the area of Child Protection Bali DPRD plenary session on Tuesday (07/22/2014) seemed forced, because the substance has not met the spirit of the protection of children.

Therefore, it sent a letter to the special committee of the Child Protection Council Bali, Bali’s governor, including social media.

“The letter contains corrections to the regulatory region of the Child Protection. Validation rules I regret that area, because there are still many things to be improved. Feedback we have not been addressed. Regulation was imposed when the area was the focus of the community with the implementation of the Presidential Election,” he said.

In a letter Gayatri who is also a student doctoral program Cultural Studies at Udayana University, said some consideration of objections, among other academic paper that became the basis for the drafting of the regulations have not been revised for Child Protection, the argument proffered academic paper is very weak.

Though the facts relating to the fate of children who are less fortunate Bali, become victims and perpetrators of violence enormous and precarious. Less expert staff managed to translate the spirit, intention and political will.

He considered a special committee of the Bali Provincial Child Protection Council and the community and the NGOs present provides a view to the realization of adequate protection of local regulations, draft regulations that area just “copy and paste” child protection laws that are less applicable and do not consider the sociological aspects of Balinese society.

Previously, staff also had to incorporate the expert committee in rancnagan local regulations regarding the re-establishment plan of the Regional Child Protection Commission (KPAID) Bali which tend to violate the constitution. It shows the lack of designated expert staff with competence in drafting local regulations this Child Protection.

Likewise, the establishment of the Regional Child Protection Committee Organizer (KP2AD) in Bali, just substitute the name of Indonesian Commission for Child Protection Areas (KPAID) in violation of the constitution.(ant/oki)
