TRANSINDONESIA.CO – immigration detention center (Rudenim) in Belawan Medan, North Sumatra, holding as many as 17 Iranian citizens, because entering Indonesian territory without official documents such as passports.

“Foreigners had been long enough in the legal institutions, and their presence has also been reported to the Iranian Embassy in Jakarta,” said Head Rudenim Medan, Purbanus Sinaga, Wednesday (08/27/2014)

Iranians living in Rudenim that, according to him, remains to be seen and treated the same as other foreigners, as well as undifferentiated.

“Overall foreigners also receive supervision and protection of security personnel in Rudenim field,” said Purbanus.

He said, currently there are few foreigners Rudenim secured in Medan, the citizens of South Africa, Sudan, Taiwan, Pakistan, Palestine, Rohingya Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Somalia.

In fact, he said, most foreigners entering Indonesia does not have a passport and they were charged in violation of the Immigration Act.

“Foreigners living in Medan Rudenim, living in a state of harmony and peace, and there is no quarrel,” said Purbanus.

Data obtained in Rudenim field, the number of foreigners in August 2014, there were 283 people, some of them namely, the Afghans (26), Bangladesh (11), Palestine (17 people), Myanmark Rohingya (59 people), Somalia (62 people), and Sri Lanka (40 people).

Then, the citizens of Iran (17 persons), Sudan (22 people), Eritrya (2 people), South Africa (1), Pakistan (9 people), Taiwan (1 person) and Nepal (1 person).(ant/don)
